FORT TRUMBULL STATE PARK

          The park is open every Wednesday through Sunday, 9 AM to 4 PM, from Memorial Day Weekend through Columbus Day. The buildings will close on that day for the season, but the park grounds remain open every day of the week throughout the year.


          During the season, the Gift Shop is open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from Noon until 4 PM.




          The Fort also offers a variety of conference, meeting, and hosting options

          All the meetings, encampments, and other events we'll host throughout the season...and beyond...are wonderfully interactive ways in which to truly experience a taste of the "Living History" that is such a fundamental part of this area's rich legacy.

~~~~~~ SCHEDULE OF FEES ~~~~~~

No charge for parking or admittance to the park grounds or fishing pier.

          Fort tours:

          Age 12 and older: $6

          Ages 6-11: $2

          Age 5 and under: free

          School groups wishing to visit the Fort Trumbull Visitor Center as part of a class activity may do so year round by appointment. Arrangements for class groups can be made by calling the park at (860) 444-7591.

          Connecticut State Parks Heritage Passport

Heritage Passport allows the bearer to gain admittance to three facilities (Dinosaur, Fort Trumbull and Gillette Castle State Parks) for a one time visitation until Columbus Day of the calendar year in which it was purchased. Children ages 6 -17 are $5.00, adults18 years and older are $12.00, and children under age 6 are free. The Heritage Passport can be purchased at any one of the three facilities.

Northbound on I-95:
Exit 83 (Downtown New London)
Straight through light (
Huntington St.)
Huntington St. to Tilley St. (straight through stop sign at end of Huntington St.)
Tilley St. ends after one block, bear right on to Bank St. at light.
Left on to Howard St. at next light.
Howard St. to Walbach St. (Left onto Walbach St. just before rotary)                                                     
Go under the railroad overpass and follow to park entrance.

Exit ramp merge onto Eugene O’Neill Drive

Howard Street (Left onto Howard St. at next light)
